Group classes meet at Ball Ground Hounds
245 Gilmer Ferry Rd, Ball Ground GA 30107
Classes will meet indoors except for loose leash walking and recall
sessions which will be held outdoors; weather permitting.
In case of inclement weather (too hot, too cold, rain, snow, etc.) ,
class will be moved indoors or rescheduled.

Minimum class size for group classes is 3, maximum 6.
Checks should be made out to Doris Dressler and are not
cashed until after the first session.

SEPT 2025 GROUP DOG OBEDIENCE CLASSES

SHY DOG OBEDIENCE CLASS
Shy dog class is geared to dogs that need a quieter environment to learn. In addition to working on obedience cues, we will also work on coping techniques. CONTACT US FOR MORE INFORMATION.
PUPPY CLASS - AKC STAR PUPPY CURRICULUM & CERTIFICATION
Starts Friday, Sept 5 at 11 AM - six (one-hour) sessions
Starts Saturday, Sept 6 at 11 AM - six (one-hour) sessions
We'll work on house manners, basic obedience cues and allow opportunities for enrichment and socialization.
BASIC OBEDIENCE (Level 1)
Starts Friday, Sept 5 at 9 AM - five (one hour) sessions
Starts Saturday, Sept 6 at 9 AM - five (one hour) sessions
Skills we will learn include sit, down, stay, leave it, drop it, watch me, come and loose leash walking.
BASIC OBEDIENCE (LEVEL II) CANINE GOOD CITIZEN (CGC) and
BASIC OBEDIENCE (LEVEL III) CANINE GOOD CITIZEN ADVANCED (CGCA)
& INTRO TO THERAPY DOG WORK
CGC Friday class starts Sept 5 1 PM - five (one-hour) sessions
CGC Saturday class starts Sept. 6 at 1 PM - five (one-hour sessions)
CGCA ADVANCED Friday class starts Sept. 5 at 3 PM (five one-hour sessions)
CGC and CGCA (advanced) classes prepares your dog to earn the Canine Good Citizen Certification which is a requirement for most therapy dog organizations. We will build on existing socialization, loose leash walking, recall, sit, down and stay skills. Students who have earned their CGC can work towards the advanced CGCA certification. CGCA students will work in realistic settings like an outlet mall, outdoor restaurant or dog-friendly store.
AKC TRICK DOG - NOVICE & INTERMEDIATE
Starts Saturday, Sept 6 at 3 PM - five (one-hour) sessions
Teach your dog to speak, shake, roll over, take-a-bow and more. Ten tricks are required for both the Novice and Intermediate Trick Dog title; dogs who have their CGC only need 5 tricks to earn the Novice title.
