Classes are held indoors at the Red Barn Kennels right outside the Big Canoe North Gate.  On occasion, class may be held outdoors at the Wildcat Recreational Area inside of Big Canoe. 
   
No refunds after first group class session.  Minimum class size is 3.  Class runs one hour unless otherwise noted.  Cost of group classes:  $135

***    BASIC OBEDIENCE LEVEL I   ***
 
THURSDAYS, 12:30 PM, five sessions starting Nov. 1. 

NO CLASS NOV. 22 (Thanksgiving)

    
The BASIC OBEDIENCE LEVEL I class is geared for owners and dogs who have not yet received any training, are interested in a basic obedience review, or are just interested in learning positive training methods.  For puppies and dogs 6 months and up.
 
Skills we will begin working on include sit, down, stay, get it/give, come, watch me, leave it, and well-mannered loose leash walking.
 



 
***  BASIC OBEDIENCE II - CANINE GOOD CITIZEN  ***

                  (and INTRO TO DOG THERAPY WORK)
 
THURSDAYS, 10 AM, five sessions starting Nov. 1.

NO CLASS NOV. 22 (Thanksgiving)

    
This class is geared for owners and dogs who have taken a basic obedience class (or know the skills) and are interested in refining these skills.  For puppies and dogs 6 months and up.
  
We'll be working towards our Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification and title, which emphasizes general good manners and is a prerequisite most organizations require for dog therapy work.

***  AGILITY LITE I  ***

THURSDAYS, 2:15 PM, five sessions starting Nov. 1.

These classes will meet indoors at the Red Barn Kennels; weather permitting, class could be held outdoors.
 
Introduce your dog to the sport of agility!  In this five-week-long "just for fun" class, your dog will learn to navigate weave poles, tunnels and chutes,  stroll on the dog walk and execute agility and tire jumps.

 
   


***  AGILITY LITE II   ***

THURSDAYS, 4 PM, five sessions starting Nov. 1.

These classes will meet indoors at the Red Barn Kennels; weather permitting, class could be held outdoors.
      
Continue refining your skills on the weave poles, tunnel and chute; we'll introduce the teeter in this class. We'll continue working the dog walk  and will add wing and long jumps in addition to the bar and tire jumps.
