This AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program and Training Class will give your puppy the opportunity to socialize with other puppies off-leash. You will also get information on how to teach your dog good house manners (house training, chewing, not jumping, etc.) as well as learning basic obedience cues such as sit, down, come and loose leash walking. For puppies 6 months of age and younger.
On the last day of class, your puppy will have the opportunity to earn his AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy certification. For more information about this program, go to: AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program

The BASIC OBEDIENCE LEVEL I class is geared for owners and dogs who have not yet received any training, are interested in a basic obedience review, or are just interested in learning positive training methods. For puppies and dogs 6 months and up.
Skills we will begin working on include sit, down, stay, get it/give, come, watch me, leave it, and well-mannered loose leash walking.

Classes will initially meet outdoors at the Wildcat Recreational Center in Big Canoe but will also meet and practice in other local areas. In case of inclement weather, a class will be added on at the end.
Your dog must have his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification before participating in this class. We'll be working towards our Advanced Canine Good Citizen (CGCA) certification and title which is the third and most advanced level of the Canine Good Citizen program. The goal is to build on and add to the skills learned in the Canine Good Citizen program and to test these skills in "real life" situations.
These classes will meet indoors at the Red Barn Kennels; weather permitting, class could be held outdoors.
Continue refining your skills on the weave poles and regular tunnel; we'll introduce the teeter and collapsed tunnel in this class. We'll continue working the dog walk, A-frame, and will add wing and long jumps in addition to the bar and tire jumps.
