SEPT/OCT. 2023 GROUP DOG OBEDIENCE CLASSES

              Luvk9s Dog Training / Ball Ground Hounds


    NOTE:  NO CLASSES WILL BE HELD THE WEEKEND OF 10/12 - 10/14

  

PUPPY CLASS - AKC STAR PUPPY CURRICULUM & CERTIFICATION

Starts Thursday, September 28 at 9 AM - six (one-hour) sessions

Starts Saturday, September 30 at 1 PM - six (one-hour) sessions

We'll work on house manners, basic obedience cues and allow opportunities for enrichment and socialization

  

AKC TRICK DOG - NOVICE

Starts Thursday, September 28 at 11 AM - five (one-hour) sessions

Dogs love doing tricks!  This class will teach your dog tricks like speak, shake, roll over, take-a-bow and lots more. Ten tricks earns your dog the Novice Trick Dog title; dogs who have earned their CGC title only require 5 tricks.

  

AKC TRICK DOG - INTERMEDIATE

Starts Friday, September 29 at 1 PM - five (one-hour) sessions

Continue having fun with your dog by teaching your dog tricks like beginner agility (teeter, weave poles, wobble board), crawl, find it, leg weave, roll over and much more. Ten tricks earns your dog the Intermediate Trick Dog title. 
  

BASIC OBEDIENCE (Level 1)

Starts Friday, September 29 at 9 AM - five (one-hour) sessions

Starts Saturday, Septembe 30 at 9 AM - five (one hour)  sessions

Skills we will learn include sit, down, stay, leave it, watch me, come and loose leash walking.

  

BASIC OBEDIENCE (LEVEL II) CANINE GOOD CITIZEN (CGC)

& INTRO TO THERAPY DOG WORK

Starts Friday, September 29 at 11 AM - five (one-hour) sesions

Starts Saturday, September 30 at 11 AM - five (one-hour) sessions

This class prepares your dog to earn the Canine Good Citizen Certification which is a requirement for most therapy dog organizations.  We will build on existing socialization, loose leash walking, recall, sit, down and stay skills. 

    

BASIC OBEDIENCE (LEVEL III) ADVANCED CANINE GOOD CITIZEN (CGCA)

Starts Saturday, September 30  at 3 PM - five (one-hour) sessions 

The goal of the advanced CGC is to build on the dog's CGC skills in a realistic setting like an outlet mall, restaurant or dog-friendly store.

​​Group classes meet at Ball Ground Hounds

245 Gilmer Ferry Rd, Ball Ground GA 30107

   

​​​​Puppy & tricks classes will meet indoors.
All other group classes will be held outdoors; weather permitting. 
In case of inclement weather (too hot, too cold, rain, snow, etc.) ,
class will be moved indoors or rescheduled.

Group class cost:  $145

    

​Minimum class size for Ball Ground classes is 3.

Minimum class size for Big Canoe classes is 4.

 

Mail your registration form with a check made out to Doris Dressler to reserve your spot in class.  Checks are not cashed until after the first session.
